For healthcare security leaders · Nationwide

Join our healthcare CISO consultant network.

Bring your healthcare security leadership experience to defined client engagements. We are recruiting independent consultants for fractional and interim leadership, security assessments, and readiness projects across the United States.

A CISO is a Chief Information Security Officer: an executive security leader who connects risk, governance, and security decisions with an organization’s priorities. A previous CISO title is optional for our network; relevant healthcare security leadership experience is required.

Who we want to hear from

Work matched to your skillset

Fractional and interim leadership

Security strategy, governance, executive reporting, team and vendor oversight, and leadership during transitions.

Healthcare security assessments

Executive program reviews, risk prioritization, findings, and practical improvement roadmaps.

Specialist readiness work

HIPAA security risk analysis or SOC 2 readiness projects where your experience and the agreed scope are a match.

Consultants are considered for work that fits their experience. Joining the network does not imply qualification for every service. SOC 2 readiness projects are advisory engagements; the independent examination and report are separate CPA firm services.

How engagements work within the practice

Independent consulting arrangements

Our intended model is independent contractor (1099) consulting with HealthcareCISO. Each assignment is subject to a written agreement and applicable requirements. We discuss the actual working arrangement before an engagement begins.

Other client work requires HealthcareCISO approval. Consultants must carry their own professional liability and cyber insurance, with coverage requirements agreed before an engagement.

A practical introduction

Use the dedicated form below to share your services, healthcare experience, and availability. An optional PDF résumé or professional profile helps us understand your background. We discuss project scope and fixed-fee compensation separately when there is a potential fit.

From introduction to a possible engagement

  1. Send an introduction through the candidate form on this page.
  2. Discuss healthcare experience, delivery strengths, capacity, and fit with the practice.
  3. Complete an experience interview, professional reference checks, and a background check before network acceptance.
  4. When a suitable client need arises, discuss the project scope, requirements, fixed fee, and written terms.

Screening details and requested authorizations are handled separately from the public inquiry form.

Introductions are reviewed for possible future engagements. This page does not list a specific funded vacancy or promise a minimum volume of work. Each project requires an agreed scope, fixed fee, and written terms.

Considering a full-time employed CISO role?

Our executive search service supports organizations hiring their own full-time CISO employees. That is a separate path from the subcontractor network. You can indicate interest in a full-time client role in the same inquiry form.
