Christopher Krebs, director of the federal agency overseeing cybersecurity and protection for hospitals, was fired on Nov. 17, according to Politico.

Four details:

1. President Donald Trump fired Mr. Krebs from his post as director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency in the Department of Homeland Security.

2. With Mr. Krebs at the helm, CISA has been tracking ransomware attacks at U.S. hospitals this year, and the agency issued a statement on Nov. 16 warning there is a "credible, ongoing and persistent" cybersecurity threat to healthcare providers.
